The Applying Professional Kanban course is for anyone who wants to improve their ability to deliver value and be more effective. This course will give you an in-depth introduction to improving your team’s effectiveness by applying Kanban flow principles. Kanban is a strategy for optimizing the flow of value through a process and during this course we will explore how this can be done and the benefits of this approach. You’ll leave the course with practical, actionable techniques so that you can get started the very next day becoming more efficient, effective and predictable. Since Kanban is a strategy and not a framework it does not need to conflict with any frameworks you may currently be following and instead can improve and amplify other practices.
The course can be run flexibly to suit your needs, for example over 3 afternoons, 2 days, evenings or weekends. Please contact me to arrange a schedule that suits your needs.
The Applying Metrics for Predictability course is for anyone who has been asked to answer “When Will It Be Done?” or had to provide estimates. Are you tired of having the same conversations, delivering “late” or being put under pressure to hit unachievable deadlines? Then this course is for you! It is suitable for executives, managers, or team members who want better understanding and transparency into the health and performance of their process. Anyone who currently uses Agile or Lean Methodologies and is interested in how to improve the overall predictability and efficiency of their current practices will benefit from Applying Metrics for Predictability. Learning outcomes will include how to make accurate forecasts for single or multiple items, an understanding of flow metrics and analytics to help achieve a stable system. We will cover Littles Law, Flow Metrics, Monte Carlo Simulation, CFDs, Scatterplots and other supporting charts and information. We'll talk about how to get started immediately and what you need to do this (very little!). On top of this we'll cover using these techniques for risk management and actionable conversations.
This course can be run flexibly to suit your needs, and can also be run on a 121 basis. Please contact me to enquire.
